We're looking for one part-time Float Tank Operator to start when we open around the second week of January, and more in February. Transition to full time will be available, if you want it. (We're a new business, ramping up, and still figuring out what we need.)

We intend Float to be welcoming and casual. While the feeling we aim to evoke may be easy-going, we will expect professionalism and respect of fellow staff members and customers. We will let our staff and customers be who they are regardless of orientation, race, size or gender.

Escape Pod filtration system

Duties include: making appointments, working with our online scheduling system, answering the phone, orienting clients, tank service between clients, daily tank testing and maintenance (we will train you on that), maintaining the appearance of the facility (i.e. light but frequent cleaning), and making snacks and tea. Other duties as assigned.

The ideal qualified candidate will have customer service experience, be familiar with the health and wellness industry, be an excellent multi-tasker, be computer savvy and have the ability to pick up programs quickly, and have the ability to be on their feet for extended periods of time. CPR training is a plus.

Physical requirement: must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs (that's a bag of salt.)

Pay: $15/hour

Floating for free is a perk of this job — and also a requirement! We understand that very few people here have actually floated before, and that is not expected of job candidates. But we want you to be able to talk to our customers about it, so we will make time for you you to float at least once a month.

Probationary period of three months, to make sure it's a good fit for all of us.

The job is located at FLOAT, 515 Medford St, Somerville, MA 02145.
